As a recent Law graduate, gaining practical experience in the legal field during university has always been challenging. That is why I was so grateful when Circe Law Ltd responded to my email with this amazing opportunity. My time at Circe Law has taught me so much more than I initially expected, and I am extremely grateful to Jade, Lisa and the whole team here for the invaluable lessons and insights I have gained.
Coming into this experience, I was unsure how I would find the Private Client sector, as Wills and Trusts were areas that I found daunting during my studies. However, thanks to the amazing support and guidance from the team, I not only learned a huge amount, but also discovered a genuine passion for this area of law!
Throughout the month, I had the opportunity to draft LPAs and Client care letters, conduct legal research, and assist with Probate applications. I also handled administrative tasks such as managing case files and communicating with Clients – experience that really sharpened my organisational and client-facing skills.
A huge thank you to Jess and Shannon for their patience and willingness to answer my endless questions. No matter how small or complex my query was, they always took the time to explain everything clearly, helping me build both confidence and competence in my work.
What stands out the most from my time at Circe Law is the supportive environment and the investment the team made in my learning and development. I was not only taught the fundamentals of Wills, Trusts and land matters, but also provided ample opportunities to utilise my knowledge on Client cases. I was never made to feel like an intern at Circe but instead treated as part of the team from day one, which is something that made a huge difference in how comfortable I felt. Everyone at Circe was extremely accommodating, consistently going above and beyond. The overall morale of the office was always high and it is clear that the team genuinely support one another.
This experience has reinforced my interest in Private Client law and allowed me to develop practical skills that will undoubtedly serve me well as I pursue my legal career. I am so grateful to the entire team at Circe for their generosity with their time and knowledge. A special thank you to Jade for providing this opportunity and trusting me with meaningful work from the very beginning.
