As a third-year law student preparing to graduate, I was under a lot of pressure to secure relevant legal work experience and explore potential career paths. I came into my work experience at Circe Law with an open mind, but I can confidently say that it has exceed my every expectation, both in terms of the work itself and the people I got to work with.
I was surprised by how much I genuinely enjoyed Private Client work. It became clear that this area of law is far more interesting in practice than it had ever seemed in my studies. From day one, I was entrusted with real responsibilities and involved in meaningful tasks that directly impacted clients. Although it felt a bit overwhelming at first, I found myself more and more excited to learn and grow.
The team at Circe Law played a huge part in shaping such a positive experience. Everyone was so welcoming, and the office atmosphere was incredibly supportive. They had clear instructions and resources ready for the new starters, which helped me settle in quickly. I was encouraged to ask questions and take my time getting to grips with LEAP. A huge thank you to Jess, Shannon and Elizabeth, in particular, for being endlessly patient and helpful, always making me feel comfortable to turn to them when I need guidance.
One of the things I appreciated the most was how much trust they placed in me. I was given the opportunity to complete certain individual tasks where appropriate, always with the right level of oversight and feedback. That hugely helped me build my confidence and showed me my capabilities when I’m working in the right environment.
Circe Law gave me genuine insight into what working in Private Client is really like, and I love it. I saw first-hand how much care and attention goes into helping Clients through sensitive and personal matters, and that made the work feel meaningful. It also confirmed for me that this is an area I would seriously consider pursuing long-term.
More than anything, I am grateful to have spent time at a firm where people are not only skilled and professional, but also kind, down-to-earth and committed to helping everyone. Thank you everyone at Circe Law for such a memorable and valuable experience. I am very excited to see Circe Law continue to grow!
