As a recent law graduate coming from an international background, I have been struggling to place my foot into the legal market. That’s why I was incredibly grateful when Circe Law responded to my email offering me this three-week work experience. My time at Circe Law has exceeded my expectations, where I have certainly gained many invaluable skills and insights.
Throughout my work experience, I was not only taught the fundamentals, but I was also trusted with real opportunities and worked hands-on with Client files. This included answering Client’s queries, drafting letters and exchanging correspondence with them, as well as assisting with plenty of Wills and Estate administration matters in diverse ways. I also grew comfortable with using LEAP, which gave me a stronger foundation of case handling in a legal setting. These experiences have certainly enhanced my understanding of the practicalities and procedures in Private Client work.
Beyond the legal work, I also had the opportunity to participate in the London Legal Walk for the very first time along with the team. It was inspiring being part of the thousands supporting such a meaningful cause and contributing to the access of justice.
What stood out the most to me was Circe’s culture and how its core values are truly embodied within its working environment. The team is extremely dedicated to ensuring Clients’ needs are well taken care of, as well as being genuinely supportive and friendly to one another.
I would like to thank the team for always being so incredibly welcoming and helpful. Despite never working in Private Client beforehand, I was provided with a high level of trust to work on individual tasks, always with sufficient feedback and support. The team has been incredibly patient and encouraging in answering all my questions and ensuring that I am well settled in. I would especially like to thank Jade for showing me the proper attitude and professionalism one should equip within legal practice, and Jess, Shannon and Elizabeth, for always being patient and making sure I am managing my tasks well.
I have obtained many transferable skills which I am certain would greatly benefit my legal career. Moving forward, I wish Circe Law, and its wonderful people, all the best and I am confident that Circe Law will continue to thrive!
